Zakami

Melinda and Gergely are the designer and dyers behind Zakami Yarns which is a small-batch hand-dyed yarn company based in Scotland in the UK.Melinda learned to knit and crochet from her grandma and since then she always had something in her project bag. They believe that wool/yarn is not just for crafting but that it also builds a community which brings people together and creates happy places on Earth. We are over the moon to have their beautiful yarns here in our little store including Corriedale, Luxury Merino and Silk, Suri Alpaca and Silk and 100% Brushed Suri Alpaca. All in a range of tonal, speckled and variegated colour ways.

Their dream is to open their own alpaca farm. To achieve it they travelled for years volunteering on several farms, visiting artists and learning most of the skills needed to fulfil their destiny. However, they are at the very beginning of our journey.
